Getting There

• Songthaew

  From your location in Pattaya, find the nearest songthaew stop. Songthaews are shared pick-up trucks that operate as a local taxi service. Look for a songthaew with a sign that says 'North Pattaya' or 'Temple'. Board the songthaew and inform the driver that you want to go to Wat Sam Sien. The driver will take you along the main roads. Be sure to keep an eye out for landmarks, as they may not announce stops. When you reach the intersection of Sukhumvit Road and the road leading to Wat Sam Sien, ask the driver to let you off. The temple is a short walk from there.

• Motorbike Taxi

  Locate a motorbike taxi stand, which can often be found near popular areas or hotels. Approach a motorbike taxi driver and communicate that you want to go to Wat Sam Sien. It's helpful to show them the address or a map on your phone to ensure they understand your destination. The ride will be quick, and you can expect to arrive at Wat Sam Sien in about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Always wear a helmet for safety.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby, you can walk to Wat Sam Sien. Start from the nearest main road and head towards Sukhumvit Road. Once you reach Sukhumvit, head south until you see signs for Wat Sam Sien. Follow the signs and the path will lead you directly to the temple. It’s approximately a 20-30 minute walk from the city center, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially if it’s hot.

  If you prefer cycling, consider renting a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Pattaya. After renting the bike, head towards Sukhumvit Road. Once on Sukhumvit, cycle south toward the signs directing to Wat Sam Sien. The distance is manageable, and you can enjoy the sights of Pattaya along the way.
