Upon reaching Ban Sang, look for local signs directing you to the mountain trailhead. There is no entry fee for the area, but ensure you park in designated areas.

For those using public transportation, take a local bus or songthaew (shared taxi) from the bus terminal in Mueang Phayao to Ban Sang. The fare is approximately 30-50 THB. Once you arrive in Ban Sang, you may need to walk to the trailhead, which can take around 20-30 minutes. There are local signs that will guide you to Doi Nok / Nok Mountain. Make sure to check the bus schedules for your return trip.

If you are already in Ban Sang and prefer to walk, head towards the mountain by following local paths and signs. It is about a 3-kilometer walk to the trailhead of Doi Nok / Nok Mountain. The terrain can be rural and unpaved, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The walk should take about 40 minutes.
