If you are driving, start your journey from the center of Chiang Mai. Head east on Route 118 (Chiang Mai - Lampang Road) for about 20 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Mae On District. Once you reach Mae On, follow the signs to Huai Kaeo. The road will narrow as you approach the village. Continue until you reach the parking area near Mae Kampong Waterfall. Parking is available, but check for any fees that may apply.

Public Transportation
To reach Mae Kampong Waterfall using public transportation, take a songthaew (red truck taxi) from the Old City of Chiang Mai. Head to the Arcade Bus Station and catch a songthaew heading to Mae On. The fare is usually around 30-50 THB per person. Inform the driver that you want to go to Mae Kampong. Once you arrive in Mae Kampong, you may need to walk or hire a local tuk-tuk to reach the waterfall, which is about 3-5 kilometers from the village.

If you have reached the village of Mae Kampong, you can walk to the waterfall. The trail is well-marked, and it takes about 30 minutes to hike from the village to the waterfall.
