Songthaew
To reach Chalong Pier from areas like Patong or Kata Beach, take a Songthaew (shared pickup truck) heading towards Chalong. Get on at the nearest Songthaew stop, which are commonly found along the main roads. Make sure to tell the driver you're going to Chalong Pier. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Chalong, look for signs directing you to the pier or ask locals for directions to 'Chalong Pier'. It's about a 10-minute walk from the Songthaew drop-off point.
Motorbike Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, consider taking a motorbike taxi. These can be found at popular beach areas like Patong, Kata, or Karon. Simply approach a motorbike taxi driver and tell them you want to go to Chalong Pier. The ride will take around 20-30 minutes. Ensure to wear a helmet for safety, and confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Walking
If you are staying nearby, you can walk to Chalong Pier. From Chalong Circle, head east on Route 4024 (Sunrise Road). Keep walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the pier. It is a pleasant walk with local shops and cafes along the way. Just follow the road signs that point towards the pier.
Bicycle Rental
