Boat
From Samut Prakan, head to the nearest pier, either Phra Pradaeng or Paknam. You can take a local bus or a tuk-tuk to get there. Once at the pier, purchase a ticket for a boat heading towards Bangkok. Look for a boat that stops at the Sathorn Pier. The journey will take about 30-45 minutes. When you arrive at Sathorn Pier, disembark and follow the signs to the BTS Skytrain station, which is a short walk away.

BTS Skytrain
If you are near a BTS Skytrain station in Samut Prakan, take the BTS to the Bang Wa station. Transfer to the Silom Line towards Bang Rak station. Get off at the Saphan Taksin station and exit towards the Sathorn Pier. From there, follow the previous boat instructions to reach Sathorn Pier and then to the Bangkokian Museum.

Taxi
You can also take a taxi from anywhere in Samut Prakan directly to the Bangkokian Museum. Make sure to show the driver the address: 273 Saphan Yao Alley, Si Phraya, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500. The taxi ride will take approximately 30-60 minutes depending on traffic. Confirm with the driver that they know the location before you start your journey.

Catch a bus from any central location in Samut Prakan heading towards Bangkok. Look for bus numbers that go to Bang Rak or Silom. Once you arrive in Bangkok, ask the bus conductor or fellow passengers for directions to Saphan Yao Alley. You may need to walk or catch a tuk-tuk for the last part to reach the Bangkokian Museum.
