Walking
If you are staying in the Mueang Sukhothai area, you can reach Wat Traphang Ngoen by walking. Start from the center of Sukhothai where the Sukhothai Historical Park entrance is located. Head east on Thanon Prasat Thong (the main road) for about 300 meters until you reach a junction. Turn left onto Thanon Sukhothai Tai. Continue walking for approximately 500 meters. You will see the entrance to Wat Traphang Ngoen on your right. The temple is situated near a lake, which makes it a beautiful spot for photography.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Sukhothai. From the rental location, head towards the Sukhothai Historical Park. Once you reach the park entrance, cycle straight down Thanon Prasat Thong for about 300 meters. At the junction, take a left onto Thanon Sukhothai Tai and continue for about 500 meters. Wat Traphang Ngoen will be on your right. Cycling is a pleasant way to enjoy the scenery as you navigate through the area.
Tuk-tuk
To reach Wat Traphang Ngoen via tuk-tuk, find a tuk-tuk stand in central Sukhothai, often located near the Sukhothai Historical Park. Negotiate a fare with the driver and ask to be taken to Wat Traphang Ngoen. The ride should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic, as it is located approximately 2 kilometers from the park. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Local Bus
Use the local bus service that operates routes within Sukhothai. Look for a bus heading towards the Historical Park area. Once you reach the park, get off and walk east along Thanon Prasat Thong for about 300 meters. At the junction, turn left onto Thanon Sukhothai Tai and continue for 500 meters until you see Wat Traphang Ngoen on your right. Be sure to check the bus schedule, as they may not run frequently.
