Songthaew
To reach Klong Prao Beach, start from the Trat bus station. Look for a songthaew (a shared taxi pickup truck) that is heading towards Klong Prao. These songthaews often display their destination on a sign in the front window. The fare is usually around 20-30 THB. The journey should take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Klong Prao Beach, simply ask the driver to drop you off at the beach entrance.
Motorbike Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can hire a motorbike taxi from the Trat bus station. Just approach one of the drivers and tell them you want to go to Klong Prao Beach. Negotiate the fare, which should be approximately 100-150 THB. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Make sure to wear a helmet for safety.
Bicycle Rental
For a more leisurely journey, consider renting a bicycle. There are rental shops near the Trat bus station. Rent a bike for around 50-100 THB per day. From the bus station, head west towards the main road (Highway 3), then turn left. Follow the road signs towards Klong Prao Beach. It’s roughly a 7 km ride and should take about 30-40 minutes.
