Bus
From Trat town, head to the Trat Bus Terminal, which is located near the center of the town. Look for buses heading to Ko Chang. The bus ride to the ferry terminal at Laem Ngop takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket to Ko Chang; the ferry takes approximately 30 minutes to cross. Once you arrive at Ko Chang, you will find songthaews (shared taxis) waiting for passengers. Take a songthaew heading to Kai Bae Beach, which will take around 20-30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Kai Bae Waterfall.

Songthaew
If you prefer a direct route, after taking the bus to the ferry terminal and crossing to Ko Chang, you can skip the ferry and take a songthaew from Trat directly to Kai Bae Beach. This option might take longer but is more straightforward. The songthaew will drop you off at the beach area, from where you can walk to the waterfall entrance, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the beach.

For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike after arriving at Ko Chang. There are several rental shops near the ferry terminal. Once you have your motorbike, head south on the main road towards Kai Bae Beach. Follow the signs for Kai Bae Waterfall; the drive will take about 20-25 minutes. Park your motorbike at the designated area near the waterfall entrance and enjoy the short hike to the waterfall.
