Songthaew
From Trat town, head to the main bus station, located near the center of town. Look for a songthaew (shared taxi) that is heading towards Laem Klat. The fare is usually around 30-50 THB. Once on the songthaew, inform the driver that you want to go to Lan Sai Beach. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes, during which you will pass through scenic rural areas.
Motorbike Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, consider taking a motorbike taxi from Trat town. You can find motorbike taxis near the bus station or at popular tourist spots. Negotiate the fare, which should be around 100-150 THB to Lan Sai Beach. The ride will take about 20 minutes, and the rider should know the route to the beach.
Bicycle Rental
For the adventurous, renting a bicycle can be a fun way to reach Lan Sai Beach. There are several rental shops in Trat town. Rent a bicycle for around 100 THB per day. Start from the main road, heading southeast towards Laem Klat. Follow the signs to Laem Klat, and then look for signs leading to Lan Sai Beach. The ride is approximately 14 kilometers and will take about 1 hour, but be prepared for some hilly terrain.
Walking
If you are up for a long walk and enjoy exploring, you can walk from Trat town to Lan Sai Beach. Start from the center of Trat and head southeast towards Laem Klat. It’s a distance of about 14 kilometers, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The walk will take approximately 3-4 hours, allowing you to enjoy the local scenery along the way.
