Bus
From Ubon Ratchathani city center, head to the Ubon Ratchathani bus terminal located on Phibun Songkhram Road. Take a local bus heading towards Pho Sai District. The bus ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Sam Phan Bok.
Songthaew (shared taxi)
You can also find a songthaew (a shared taxi) at the bus terminal that goes to Pho Sai District. It is a more direct but slightly more expensive option. The journey will take around 1 hour. Once you reach Pho Sai District, inform the driver that you need to go to Sam Phan Bok, and they will drop you off at the nearest location.
Motorbike taxi
If you are looking for a quicker option, you can hire a motorbike taxi from anywhere in Ubon Ratchathani. Simply ask the driver to take you to Sam Phan Bok in Lao Ngam, Pho Sai District. This option might be pricier but will get you there faster, typically within 1 hour.
Walking
If you are already in Lao Ngam, you can walk to Sam Phan Bok. From the center of Lao Ngam, head towards the Mekong River and follow the riverside path. It is about a 30-minute walk to reach Sam Phan Bok, which is known as the 'Grand Canyon of Thailand'.
