Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Andros Town, head south on Queen's Highway. Continue walking straight for about 3 miles (approximately 1 hour). You will pass several local shops and small homes along the way. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating Blanket Sound. Once you reach the Blanket Sound area, you will see the Forfar Field Station on your left, just off the highway.

    If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Andros Town. Start your ride on Queen's Highway heading south. The journey is approximately 3 miles and should take about 15-20 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views as you pedal along the coastline. Look for the Forfar Field Station on your left as you approach Blanket Sound.

    Catch the local bus (known as a 'jitney') from the main bus stop in Andros Town. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Blanket Sound. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. After disembarking, walk about 500 meters north on Queen's Highway; Forfar Field Station will be on your left.
