Walking
From your current location in Lucaya, head towards the main road, S. Lucaya Drive. Once you reach the road, turn left and continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the Queen's Highway (also known as the Grand Bahama Highway). Look out for local shops and restaurants along the way for reference. At the intersection, turn right onto Queen's Highway. Keep walking for about 1.5 kilometers; you will pass by some beautiful landscapes and possibly encounter friendly locals along the way. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will see a sign for Fortune Beach on your left. Follow the path that leads to the beach entrance.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Lucaya. Start from the rental shop and head towards S. Lucaya Drive. Turn left onto S. Lucaya Drive, and then take a right at the intersection with Queen's Highway. Continue biking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You'll enjoy the breeze and the scenery. Once you reach the sign for Fortune Beach, follow the path leading to the beach. The bike ride should take about 10-15 minutes.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Fortune Beach using public transportation, locate the nearest bus stop along S. Lucaya Drive. Take the bus heading towards Freeport and inform the driver that you want to get off at the Queen's Highway stop. The fare is usually inexpensive. Once you disembark at Queen's Highway, head east until you see the Fortune Beach sign on your right. It's a short walk of about 5 minutes from the bus stop to the beach.
