Car
If you're driving from downtown Nassau, take Bay Street (the main road along the coast) east. Continue on Bay Street until it turns into East Bay Street. Follow East Bay Street for about 5 miles (8 km) until you reach the roundabout at the intersection with the Eastern Road. Take the second exit onto the Eastern Road and continue for about 2.5 miles (4 km). Then, turn right onto Yamacraw Hill Road. Follow this road until you reach Yamacraw Beach. Parking is available near the beach.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Yamacraw Beach via public transportation, take a bus from downtown Nassau heading towards 'Fox Hill' or 'Yamacraw'. You can catch these buses at the bus terminal on Parliament Street. The fare is usually around $1.25, but have some change ready. Ask the driver to drop you off at Yamacraw Hill Road. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to Yamacraw Beach. Be sure to check the bus schedule as service may vary.
Taxi
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from your location in Nassau. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Yamacraw Beach. The fare may vary, but expect to pay around $25 to $35 depending on your starting point. Taxis in The Bahamas do not have meters, so it's advisable to agree on a price before you start your journey.
