Getting There

  • Car

    From Abuko Nature Reserve, head southeast on the main road towards the Abuko to Serrekunda route. Continue driving straight for about 5 kilometers until you reach the junction towards Kartong. Turn left onto Kartong Highway. Follow this road for approximately 7 kilometers; you will see signs for The Gambian Reptiles Farm on your left. There is parking available on-site.

  • Public Transportation

    From Abuko Nature Reserve, find a local 'gelli-gelli' (shared taxi) heading towards Serrekunda. Ride for about 15 minutes until you reach the main transport junction. From there, transfer to a gelli-gelli or mini-bus that goes to Kartong. The ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Kartong, ask the driver to drop you off at The Gambian Reptiles Farm or look for signs directing you. The farm is located along Kartong Highway, about a 10-minute walk from the main road.
