Start from the Bakau Fish Market, which is a central point in Bakau. Head northwest towards the main road (Kairaba Avenue). Once you reach Kairaba Avenue, turn left and continue along the road. You will pass several local shops and eateries. Keep walking until you reach the junction with the road leading to Banjul. Cross the road and continue straight on the main road, which will eventually lead you to the city of Banjul. Stay on this road for about 20-25 minutes, and you will see Arch 22 ahead, marked by its impressive archway.

If you are near the Bakau Nature Reserve, exit the reserve and head towards the main street (Hawksbill Road). Walk towards the east until you reach Kairaba Avenue. Turn right onto Kairaba Avenue and follow it towards Banjul. After approximately 30-40 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Arch 22. It is a prominent landmark and hard to miss.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Bakau Fish Market. Cycle along the coastal road towards Banjul, enjoying the scenic views. Follow the road, which eventually merges with Kairaba Avenue. Continue on Kairaba Avenue until you reach Arch 22. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on your speed.

Find a nearby Poda Poda stop in Bakau, which are shared minibuses. Take a Poda Poda heading towards Banjul. Inform the driver that you want to get off near Arch 22. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Arch 22, which is a well-known landmark.
