    From the Bakau Fish Market, head southwest along the coastal road towards the beach. Continue walking until you reach the junction at Kachikally, where you will see a large sign for Kachikally Crocodile Pool. Turn left at this junction and follow the road. After about 10 minutes, keep an eye out for signs indicating the Tanbi Wetland Complex. You will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers from this point, passing by local shops and residential areas. The entrance to Tanbi Wetland Complex will be on your right, marked by a small sign.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from Bakau Fish Market and cycle southwest along the coastal road. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the Kachikally junction. Turn left at this junction and continue cycling for about 2 kilometers. Look out for the Tanbi Wetland Complex signs. The entrance is located on your right-hand side, and you may need to park your bicycle at the entrance.

  • Local Transport (Banjul to Bakau)

    Catch a local 'Gele-Gele' (shared taxi) from Bakau to Banjul. Once in Banjul, ask the driver to drop you at the nearest point to the Tanbi Wetland Complex, preferably near Kachikally. After getting off, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer back towards Bakau along the coastal road, keeping an eye out for the entrance on your right.
