If you are in the central area of Banjul, start by heading towards the Albert Market. Begin at the junction of Independence Drive and McCarthy Square. Walk straight along Independence Drive, passing the Banjul City Hall on your right. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Nelson Mandela Avenue. Turn left onto Nelson Mandela Avenue. The Albert Market will be on your right after a short walk, just a few minutes from the intersection.
Bicycle
To reach Albert Market by bicycle, rent one from a nearby shop. Start at the Banjul ferry terminal and cycle along the waterfront road towards the city center. Follow the road straight until you reach Independence Drive, then turn right. Continue cycling along Independence Drive until you reach the junction with Nelson Mandela Avenue. Turn left onto Nelson Mandela Avenue, and the market will be on your right side after a short distance.
Public Transport (Bus)
To get to Albert Market using public transport, find a local bus heading towards Banjul city center. Board the bus and make sure to ask the conductor to let you know when to get off. The bus will drop you off near the Independence Drive. From there, walk towards the intersection of Independence Drive and Nelson Mandela Avenue.
