Getting There

Bicycle
From the center of Banjul, head east on Liberation Avenue towards the ferry terminal. Continue along the road until you reach the junction with Kairaba Avenue. Turn left onto Kairaba Avenue and cycle straight for about 10 kilometers. Once you reach the junction with the road leading to Bafuloto, turn right and follow this road. After a few kilometers, you will see signs directing you to Makasutu. The entrance to the park will be on your left.

Walking
Starting from the Arch 22 monument in Banjul, head east on Liberation Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the ferry terminal area. From there, follow the signs indicating the way to Kairaba Avenue. Upon reaching Kairaba Avenue, turn left and continue walking for about 10 kilometers. Look for signs to Bafuloto and turn right onto the road leading to the village. After a few more kilometers, keep an eye out for the entrance to Makasutu on your left.

Taxi/Local Transport
If you are in Banjul, find a local taxi or a shared transport vehicle heading towards Serrekunda. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Bafuloto. Once you get dropped off, it’s about a 3-kilometer walk to Makasutu. Follow the signs that will lead you to the national park entrance on your left.
