Car
If you have access to a car, the drive from Bijilo Forest Park to Senegambia is straightforward. Exit Bijilo Forest Park and head northwest on the main road (Kotu Road). Continue on Kotu Road until you reach the junction with the Senegambia Highway. Turn left onto the Senegambia Highway (A1) and follow the signs towards Serrekunda. After approximately 5-10 minutes, you will arrive at Senegambia, located at C7VG+6C2, Serrekunda. There is usually no parking fee, but ensure you check for any specific parking regulations.
Public Transportation (Bush Taxi)
For those using public transportation, find a bush taxi (shared taxi) near the entrance of Bijilo Forest Park. Look for a bush taxi heading towards Serrekunda or Senegambia. The fare is typically around 20-30 GMD (Gambian Dalasi). The journey will take about 15-20 minutes. Inform the driver that you wish to stop at Senegambia, and they will drop you off near the location, which is known to most drivers. Make sure to have small change ready for the fare.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and enjoy walking, you can walk from Bijilo Forest Park to Senegambia. The distance is approximately 2 kilometers. Exit the park and head towards the main road. Walk northwest on Kotu Road, and after about a 30-minute walk, you will reach the Senegambia area. This option is ideal for those who want to enjoy the scenery and experience the local environment up close.
