If you are in the center of Farafenni, start by heading towards the main road (Banjul-Farafenni Highway). Walk north along the road until you reach the junction with the dirt road leading towards Charmen. After approximately 1 kilometer, turn left onto this dirt road. Continue walking straight for about 2 kilometers until you see a sign for Carrol's Wharf. The wharf is located near the riverbank, and you will find it easily recognizable as a small park area.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Farafenni. Begin your journey by cycling towards the Banjul-Farafenni Highway. Once you reach the highway, ride north and watch for the junction with the dirt road towards Charmen. Turn left onto the dirt road and cycle for approximately 2 kilometers. Follow this road until you arrive at Carrol's Wharf, located near the riverbank, where you can enjoy the local scenery and possibly some wildlife.

For a local transport option, look for a 'bush taxi' or shared minibus heading toward Charmen. From the main transport hub in Farafenni, board a vehicle that is going in the direction of Charmen. Inform the driver you wish to get off near Carrol's Wharf. The journey should take around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Charmen, follow the local signs or ask a nearby shopkeeper for directions to the wharf, which is a short walk from the main road.
