Car
From Foni Brefet, head southeast on the main road towards Brikama. After approximately 10 km, you will reach a junction. Take the left fork onto the road leading to the ferry terminal at Banjul. Follow the signs for the ferry to Barra; this is a toll ferry and costs around 50 Dalasi (approximately $1). Upon arriving in Barra, continue on the road towards the village of Jareng. After passing through Jareng, take the small ferry to Jinack Island, which costs around 20 Dalasi (about $0.40). Once on Jinack Island, follow the signs or ask locals for Jinack Lodge, which is located along the coast.

Public Transportation
From Foni Brefet, take a local 'gambia' (shared taxi) to Brikama. The fare is about 25 Dalasi (approximately $0.50). At Brikama, transfer to a 'gambia' heading to the ferry terminal in Banjul. This ride should cost around 30 Dalasi (about $0.60). Once at the terminal, pay the toll (50 Dalasi, approximately $1) for the ferry to Barra. After arriving in Barra, you can catch another local transport to Jareng, which should cost around 20 Dalasi (about $0.40). From Jareng, take a small ferry to Jinack Island (20 Dalasi, around $0.40) and follow the signs or ask for directions to Jinack Lodge.

If you're feeling adventurous and physically fit, rent a bicycle in Foni Brefet. Head towards Brikama and follow the main road southeast. This journey will take a few hours, so ensure you're prepared with water and snacks. After reaching Brikama, take the same route as drivers, heading to the ferry terminal for Banjul. You will need to pay the toll for the ferry (50 Dalasi, approximately $1). After arriving in Barra, continue cycling towards Jareng. Finally, take the small ferry to Jinack Island (20 Dalasi, around $0.40) and follow local signage to Jinack Lodge.
