From Foni Brefet, head southeast on the main road towards Brikama. After approximately 10 km, you will reach a junction. Take the left fork onto the road leading to the ferry terminal at Banjul. Follow the signs for the ferry to Barra; this is a toll ferry and costs around 50 Dalasi (approximately $1). Upon arriving in Barra, continue on the road towards the village of Jareng. After passing through Jareng, take the small ferry to Jinack Island, which costs around 20 Dalasi (about $0.40). Once on Jinack Island, follow the signs or ask locals for Jinack Lodge, which is located along the coast.

From Foni Brefet, take a local 'gambia' (shared taxi) to Brikama. The fare is about 25 Dalasi (approximately $0.50). At Brikama, transfer to a 'gambia' heading to the ferry terminal in Banjul. This ride should cost around 30 Dalasi (about $0.60). Once at the terminal, pay the toll (50 Dalasi, approximately $1) for the ferry to Barra. After arriving in Barra, you can catch another local transport to Jareng, which should cost around 20 Dalasi (about $0.40). From Jareng, take a small ferry to Jinack Island (20 Dalasi, around $0.40) and follow the signs or ask for directions to Jinack Lodge.
