Car
Start from the center of Kanifing. Head northwest on Kairaba Avenue towards the junction with Atlantic Boulevard. Turn left onto Atlantic Boulevard and continue straight. After approximately 3 kilometers, you will see signs for Ngala Rocky Beach on your right. Look for the address 64 Atlantic Blvd, Bakau. Parking is available near the beach, but be prepared for a small fee, usually around 100 Dalasi.
Public Transportation (Taxi)
From Kanifing, you can take a shared taxi (also known as a 'bantu') to Bakau. Head to the nearest taxi stand and tell the driver you want to go to Bakau, specifically to Ngala Rocky Beach. The fare should be around 50 Dalasi per person. The taxi will drop you off near Atlantic Boulevard, from where you can walk towards 64 Atlantic Blvd, Bakau. The beach is a short walk from where the taxi drops you off.
Public Transportation (Bus)
Take a local bus from Kanifing to Bakau. Look for buses marked 'Bakau' at the bus terminal in Kanifing. The fare is typically around 30 Dalasi. Once you arrive in Bakau, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to Atlantic Boulevard. Walk towards 64 Atlantic Blvd, where Ngala Rocky Beach is located. Be prepared for a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop.
