Car
From Kantora, head west on the main road towards Serrekunda. Follow the road for approximately 50 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Serrekunda. Look for signs directing you to Bijilo Monkey Park. Once you are in Serrekunda, continue straight until you reach the junction near the beach. Turn left at the junction and continue for about 5 kilometers. The entrance to Bijilo Monkey Park will be on your right. Parking is available at the park, and there may be a small entrance fee to access the park.
Public Transportation
To reach Bijilo Monkey Park from Kantora using public transportation, locate the nearest bus station in Kantora. Take a bus heading towards Serrekunda; the fare is usually around 50-100 dalasis. The bus ride will take approximately 1-2 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Serrekunda, ask the driver or locals for directions to Bijilo Monkey Park. You may need to take a taxi or a local 'banto' (shared taxi) from the bus stop to the park, which should cost about 50 dalasis. The driver will take you to the entrance of the park.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Kantora to Bijilo Monkey Park. Negotiate the fare in advance, which should be around 1000-1500 dalasis for a one-way trip, depending on your negotiation skills and the taxi service. The ride will take approximately 1 hour. Ensure that the taxi driver knows the park's location in Serrekunda.
Walking
This option is not feasible as Bijilo Monkey Park is approximately 55 kilometers from Kantora. Walking would take an extremely long time and is not recommended for tourists. It is advisable to use either a car, public transport, or a taxi.
