Car
From any location in Lower Saloum, head towards the main road (A1) that leads north. Depending on your exact starting point, navigate to the closest junction that connects to the A1. Continue driving north until you reach the turnoff for Bafuloto, which is approximately 12 kilometers from the A1 junction. Follow the signs directing you toward Bafuloto, and keep an eye out for the coordinates 896M+6HC. You will see signs for Makasutu shortly before you arrive. There is no entrance fee, but ensure your vehicle has enough fuel for the trip.
Public Transportation (Bush Taxi)
First, locate a bush taxi station in Lower Saloum, which generally operates near major towns or markets. Board a bush taxi heading towards Banjul or Brikama, but ensure to inform the driver that your destination is Bafuloto. The fare is usually around 50-100 Dalasi, depending on your starting point. Once you arrive in Bafuloto, you can ask the locals for directions to Makasutu, which is a short walk from the main road. Be prepared to pay a small fee for any local guides if you choose to hire one for the remaining distance.

If you prefer a more adventurous route, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Lower Saloum. Start by cycling towards the main road (A1) and then head north until you reach the Bafuloto turnoff. The ride will take approximately 1-2 hours depending on your speed and fitness level. Once you reach Bafuloto, follow local signs or ask for directions to Makasutu, which is located at the coordinates 896M+6HC. Be mindful of traffic and ensure to wear a helmet for safety.
