Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Serekunda, head west on the main road towards the Kairaba Avenue. Once you reach the intersection with the main road, turn left onto the Kairaba Avenue. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction leading to the Brikama Highway. At this junction, look for the sign directing you towards Bafuloto. Take the right turn onto the Brikama Highway and walk for approximately 3 kilometers. You will see signs for Makasutu National Park on your left. Follow these signs and after a short distance, you will arrive at the entrance of Makasutu.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Serekunda and ride west on the main road towards Kairaba Avenue. Turn left onto Kairaba Avenue and continue for about 1.5 kilometers. When you reach the Brikama Highway junction, turn right. Cycle along the Brikama Highway for around 3 kilometers, and keep an eye out for signs for Bafuloto and Makasutu National Park on your left. You can park your bicycle at the entrance of the park.

  • Motorbike Taxi (Banjulinding)

    To reach Makasutu from Serekunda, take a motorbike taxi (locally known as 'Banjulinding'). Negotiate the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Ask the driver to take you to Makasutu National Park, located in Bafuloto. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off at the entrance of the park.
