Getting there

Car

If you're driving from Upper Baddibu, start by heading south on the main road (A1) towards Serrekunda. Continue on this road for approximately 25 kilometers. As you approach Serrekunda, look for signs indicating Kotu Point. Turn left onto the road that leads to Kotu Point. Drive for about 3 kilometers, and you will see signs for Serrekunda Beach on your right. There is usually free street parking available nearby.

Public Transportation (Bush Taxi)

From Upper Baddibu, you can take a bush taxi heading towards Serrekunda. Head to the nearest bush taxi station and look for taxis that are marked for Serrekunda or Kotu Point. The fare is generally around 30 Dalaras (GMD). The journey takes about 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Serrekunda, you may need to walk or take a local taxi for the final stretch to Kotu Point, which should cost around 10-20 Dalaras (GMD).

Public Transportation (Local Bus)

You can also take a local bus from Upper Baddibu to Serrekunda. Catch a bus at the local bus station that is heading towards Serrekunda. This will cost approximately 20 Dalaras (GMD). The bus ride may take up to an hour. Once you arrive at the Serrekunda bus station, you can use a taxi or walk to Kotu Point. If you choose to walk, it's about a 20-minute walk, so be prepared for a bit of a trek.

Bicycle Hire

If you're feeling adventurous, you could hire a bicycle in Upper Baddibu and ride to Serrekunda Beach. Follow the main road (A1) south for about 25 kilometers before turning onto the road leading to Kotu Point.
