If you are traveling by car in Upper River Region, start your journey from Basse Santa Su. Head northwest on the Basse Road (also known as the Trans-Gambia Highway, A1) towards the town of Mansa Konko. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach the junction at Mansa Konko. Continue straight to follow the signs towards the Gambia River. As you approach the river, you will see several local signs indicating viewing points and access areas. Once you reach the riverbank, you can park your car and enjoy the scenery.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, find a 'Gele-Gele' (shared taxi) or a bus at the Basse Santa Su transport terminal heading towards Mansa Konko. The fare is typically around 30 Dalasi. Once you arrive in Mansa Konko, you can either walk towards the river or hire a local taxi for about 50 Dalasi to take you directly to the riverbank. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest access point to Gambia River.
