If you are traveling by car, start from the capital city, Banjul. Head east on the Banjul-Serrekunda Highway (A1). After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit towards Tanjeh (you will see signs directing you to the village). Continue straight for about 5 kilometers until you reach Tanjeh. Look for the river, which is located near the village center. Parking is available along the riverbank.

Public Transportation
To reach River Tanji via public transportation, first make your way to the Banjul Ferry Terminal. Take the ferry to Barra (this may incur a small fee, generally around 25 dalasi). Once you arrive at Barra, board a 'Gele-Gele' (local shared taxi) heading south towards Tanjeh. The fare for the ride is approximately 50 dalasi per person. Inform the driver you want to get off at Tanjeh. Once in Tanjeh, ask locals for directions to the river, which is easily accessible from the main road.
