Turn left onto Avenida de Piedade. Walk along this road for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the bus terminal (Termina de Aileu). At the bus terminal, look for a 'microlet' or shared taxi heading towards Baucau. Ask the driver to drop you off at Watabo Beach, which is near HF66+9W4 in Baucau. The beach is about a 30-minute ride from Aileu, and once you arrive, head west towards the coast to find the beach area.
Hiking
For the adventurous, from Aileu town center, take the path leading towards the hills southwest of town. Follow the trail that leads downwards towards the coast, which may take a couple of hours depending on your pace. Make sure to bring plenty of water and wear appropriate footwear. Eventually, the trail will lead you to the vicinity of Watabo Beach, where you can then navigate towards the beach itself.
