Walking
If you are starting from the main city area, head towards Avenida Portugal. Begin at the Government Palace and walk south along Avenida de Portugal. As you walk, you will pass several shops and cafes. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers, and you will reach the entrance to Farol Beach, which will be on your right side. Look for the iconic lighthouse which is a prominent feature of the area.

Public Transport (Microlet)
From central Dili, locate the nearest Microlet station. Take a Microlet heading towards 'Farol' or 'Avenida Portugal'. Make sure to ask the driver if the Microlet goes to Farol or the beach area, as routes may vary. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Avenida Portugal, disembark and walk towards the beach; you should see the lighthouse and the beach area ahead.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Dili. Start from the city center and head towards Avenida de Portugal. Follow this road south for about 1.5 kilometers. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on your speed. You’ll be greeted by the stunning views of the beach and the iconic lighthouse when you arrive at Farol.
