Walking
If you are starting from the central area of Dili, head towards the waterfront along Avenida de Portugal. Continue walking along the coastline, enjoying the views of the ocean. As you approach the area known as the Government Palace, bear left and follow the road until you reach the roundabout at the end of Avenida de Portugal. From the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida de Cristo Rei. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua de Lecidere. Turn right onto Rua de Lecidere, and you will find Largo de Lecidere ahead. It’s a pleasant walk that takes about 20-30 minutes.
Public Transport
From the central bus terminal in Dili, board a minibus heading towards Cristo Rei. Make sure to tell the driver you are going to Largo de Lecidere. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. When you get off the minibus, you should be near the intersection of Rua de Lecidere. Walk down Rua de Lecidere, and Largo de Lecidere will be on your left. Minibuses are a common and affordable way to navigate the city.
Bicycle
If you are renting a bicycle, start at the central area of Dili. Cycle towards the waterfront along Avenida de Portugal, enjoying the coastal views. Continue to the roundabout at the end of the avenue, then take the second exit onto Avenida de Cristo Rei. Keep cycling straight until you reach the intersection with Rua de Lecidere. Turn right onto Rua de Lecidere, and you will arrive at Largo de Lecidere. The bike ride will take around 20 minutes, depending on your speed.
