From Dili, drive towards Baucau on the main road (Road 1). After about 90 kilometers, you will reach Baucau town. Continue on Road 1, following signs to Matebian Mountain. As you approach Matebian Mountain, you may encounter some unpaved roads; ensure your vehicle is suitable for this terrain. Approximately 10 kilometers after entering the Matebian area, look for a sign leading you towards the Foho Laritame trailhead. Park your vehicle at the designated area, which is often monitored for safety.

Take a bus from Dili to Baucau. The buses leave from the main terminal in Dili and the journey takes about 2-3 hours, costing around $5.
