Car
From Mount Ramelau, head south towards the town of Ainaro. Take the main road leading down the mountain. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the road leading to Maubara. Turn left and follow this road for approximately 30 kilometers. As you approach Maubara, look for signs indicating Tibalau Maubara. The final destination's coordinates are approximately 9593+W7W, Maubara.
Public Transportation
From Mount Ramelau, you will need to return to Ainaro first. Take a local bus or shared taxi (known as 'microlet') back to Ainaro. Once in Ainaro, take a bus to Maubara, which usually takes about 1-2 hours depending on traffic. Upon reaching Maubara, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Tibalau Maubara. Make sure to confirm the taxi fare beforehand, as it can vary.

If you are already in Maubara and wish to walk to Tibalau Maubara, head towards the coast from the town center. Follow the signs toward the national reserve area. It is approximately a 2-kilometer walk from the main road to the entrance of Tibalau Maubara. Ensure you have appropriate footwear and carry water, as the path can be uneven.
