Start your journey in Bassar by heading south on Route Nationale 1 (RN1). Drive for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction near Koubon. Look for signs directing you to Fazao-Malfakassa National Park. Follow the signs as you turn onto a smaller road that leads directly to the park entrance. The drive should take about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic conditions. Be aware that some sections of the road may be unpaved, so drive cautiously.

From Bassar, head to the local bus station. Look for a bus heading towards Koubon or specifically to Fazao-Malfakassa National Park. The fare is usually around 500 to 1000 CFA francs. The journey can take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on stops and traffic. Once you arrive in Koubon, you may need to take a motorcycle taxi (also known as 'zemidjan') to reach the park entrance, which should cost around 500 CFA francs. Confirm with the driver that they know the location of Fazao-Malfakassa National Park.
