If you are driving, start from the town of Atakpame, which is a major hub in Central Region. Take the N1 road heading northeast towards Amedzofe. The drive should take around 1 hour. Once you reach Amedzofe, follow the signs indicating the direction of Ote waterfall. You will need to park your vehicle at the designated parking area near the entrance to the waterfall trail.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a shared taxi or a bus from Atakpame to Amedzofe. The fare is typically around 1000 to 1500 CFA francs. Once you arrive in Amedzofe, you can either walk to the waterfall which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the town center or hire a local guide to take you to the trailhead. Walking
Once you arrive at the trailhead, prepare for a hike down approximately 270 steps to reach the waterfall. The path is well-marked, but wear comfortable shoes and take your time.
