If you are traveling by car, start from the center of the Lake Togo area. Head south towards the town of Grand-Popo. Continue on the main road for approximately 15 kilometers. You will pass through local villages, so keep an eye out for signs directing you to Mono River. As you approach Grand-Popo, you'll see signs for Mono River. Follow these signs until you reach the river's entrance, where you can park your vehicle.
Public Transportation
To reach Mono River using public transportation, find a shared taxi or bus heading towards Grand-Popo from your location in Lake Togo. It is essential to confirm with the driver that they will make a stop at Mono River. The fare is usually around 1,000 CFA francs, but be prepared for variations depending on the distance. Once you arrive in Grand-Popo, you may need to take a short moto-taxi ride for about 500 CFA francs to reach the river.
Walking
If you are already in Grand-Popo, you can walk to Mono River. From the town center, head towards the southern end of the village, where you will find a path leading to the river.
