From the center of Plateaux Region, head southwest towards the town of Atakpamé. Continue on the main road until you reach the junction leading to the coastal road. Turn onto the coastal road and keep heading towards Agbodrafo. You'll need to follow the signs toward Grand-Popo. Once you reach Grand-Popo, follow the local roads leading toward the Mono River. There are signs indicating the river's location as you approach. Parking is available near the river.

Start at the main bus station in Atakpamé. Look for a bus or shared taxi heading to Grand-Popo. The journey will take approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Grand-Popo, ask locals for directions to the Mono River; it’s a short walk from the main town area. Expect to pay around 1,500 to 3,000 CFA francs for the bus fare.
