Getting There

Car
If you are driving a car on Eua Island, start from the main town of Neiafu. Head south on the main road towards the Nuku'alofa direction. Continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the marked junction for the Turtle Sanctuary. Turn left at the junction and follow the road for another 5 kilometers. You will see the Turtle Sanctuary on your right side. There is a small parking area available.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, catch a local bus from Neiafu heading towards Nuku'alofa. Inform the driver that you are going to the Turtle Sanctuary; they will let you know when to get off. This journey will take approximately 30 minutes. After getting off at the junction for the Turtle Sanctuary, you will need to walk about 5 kilometers along the road. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as this part of the journey can be quite warm.

If you are already close to the Turtle Sanctuary and prefer to walk, use the main road from Neiafu heading south. Once you reach the junction for the Turtle Sanctuary, follow the signs. The walk from Neiafu to the sanctuary is about 5 kilometers and will take approximately an hour. Make sure to stay hydrated and wear sun protection as there is limited shade along the way.
