Walking
From the center of Foa, start by heading east on the main path towards the coast. Continue along the beachfront until you reach the junction at the end of the beach. Turn left onto the main road and follow the path north for about 2 kilometers. You will pass local shops and small cafes. Keep an eye out for local signage directing you towards Nuku'alofa. Once you reach the fork in the road, take the right path that leads into the Tamakautonga area. Ancient Tonga is located on Tamakautonga Rd. Look for the landmark 'VR4M+F26' on your left after about 500 meters. The site is well-marked and should be visible from the road.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, begin at the main square in Foa. Cycle east along the coast path for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Keep to the right and follow the signs for Nuku'alofa. After about 1 kilometer, you will see the sign for Tamakautonga Rd. Turn left and continue riding for another 1 kilometer. Ancient Tonga will appear on your right at the address VR4M+F26, easily identifiable by its welcoming entrance.

To reach Ancient Tonga by local bus, head to the nearest bus stop in Foa. Look for buses marked for Nuku'alofa. Board the bus and pay the fare (usually a small fee). Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Tamakautonga stop. From there, it's a short walk of about 500 meters north along Tamakautonga Rd to reach Ancient Tonga, which will be on your left side.
