From your accommodation in Ha'apai, head towards the main road leading to the ferry terminal. Walk along the road until you reach the waterfront. Once you arrive at the waterfront, look for a local boat operator offering rides to Nuku'alofa. The boat ride takes approximately 2-3 hours, and be sure to check the schedule in advance. Upon reaching Nuku'alofa, you'll disembark at the main wharf. From the wharf, walk towards the main street, and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Vuna Road. Continue walking along Vuna Road for about 10-15 minutes until you see the sign for Tonga National Museum on your right.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle in Ha'apai, start from the central area and cycle towards the ferry terminal. Once there, find the local boat service to Nuku'alofa. After arriving at the wharf in Nuku'alofa, cycle along the waterfront towards the main street. Follow the main street until you reach the roundabout and take the first exit onto Vuna Road. Continue along Vuna Road for around 10-15 minutes, and you will find Tonga National Museum on your right side.

Begin your journey from Ha'apai by locating one of the local boat services that operate between Ha'apai and Nuku'alofa. Ensure to check the departure times and book your ticket in advance.
