Getting There

Walking
Start at the Neiafu town center. Walk towards the main road (Vava'u Road), which is the primary road leading out of town. Continue walking along Vava'u Road until you reach the junction with the road to Houma, which is marked by a small sign. Turn left onto this road. After about 2 kilometers, you will reach the village of Houma. Continue straight along the road, and after about 5 minutes, look for signs directing you to Mapu'a Vaea Blowholes. Follow these signs, and you will arrive at the parking area for the blowholes.

Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Neiafu. Start your journey from the town center and head towards Vava'u Road. Follow Vava'u Road until you reach the junction for Houma. Turn left at the junction and cycle straight towards Houma. Continue on this road for about 7 kilometers, following the signs to Mapu'a Vaea Blowholes. Once you reach the entrance, you can park your bike and walk to the blowholes.
