Car
From your current location in Niuafo'ou, drive towards the nearest ferry terminal, which is located at Neiafu. The journey to Neiafu takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Tongatapu. The ferry ride takes about 3 hours. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance, as departures may vary. After arriving in Tongatapu, you can use local transportation such as taxis or rental cars to explore the island.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, head to the local bus station in Niuafo'ou and look for a bus heading to Neiafu. The bus ride will take around 40 minutes. Once you reach Neiafu, proceed to the ferry terminal and buy a ticket for the ferry to Tongatapu. The ferry ride will take about 3 hours. After arriving in Tongatapu, you can use local buses or taxis to reach your final destination on the island.
