If you are traveling by car, start from your accommodation in Niuatoputapu. Drive towards Nuku'alofa via the main road. It is approximately a 1.5-hour drive (about 70 km). Follow signs to Nuku'alofa, and as you approach the city, take the exit for Tamakautonga Rd. Ancient Tonga is located at VR4M+F26 on Tamakautonga Rd. There is no parking fee, but ensure to park in designated areas.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin by locating the nearest bus stop in Niuatoputapu. Take a bus heading towards Nuku'alofa. The bus fare is around TOP 10. Once you reach Nuku'alofa, disembark at the main bus terminal. From there, you can either take a local taxi (approximately TOP 15) to reach Ancient Tonga located at VR4M+F26, Tamakautonga Rd, or if you prefer, you can walk approximately 2 km to the site, which should take about 25 minutes.
