Immaculate day experience in Tonga!

My experience with Teta Tours was exceptional from beginning to end. Immediately after booking through Get Your Guide, the owner contacted via WhatsApp to confirm everything and be available, keeping a clear and attentive communication until the day of the tour. The big difference for me was the schedule: the tour started at 1 p.m., which was perfect for resting after a flight that arrived at dawn. While most companies focus on morning hours, this convenience has allowed me to enjoy the ride with much more energy. The guides (the driver and his wife) were amazing! Extremely fun and helpful, transformed the 3 hours tour into a complete immersion in the island. They went beyond expectation: • They stopped at the supermarket to offer me snacks and drinks; • They included a visit to a wonderful cliff that wasn’t even in the original script; • They shared a lot of knowledge about the local culture. Although it was a 3-hour tour, the feeling is that I explored Tonga all day long. I leave Nuku'alofa with a sense of fulfilled duty and a lot of gratitude to the Teta Tours team. I highly recommend!

Half-Day Anahulu Cave and Cultural Tour

A great guide, a wonderful adventure, and a few accidental grumps

Great stops and a really fun day overall! One thing worth mentioning: Anahulu Cave is not the place for anyone with mobility or vision challenges. The steps down to the water can be a bit of an adventure, and while there are lights, it still leans heavily toward the “mysterious cave vibes” side of lighting. Think atmospheric… not “well-lit hotel staircase.” Our guide was amazing and did a fantastic job, even though a few folks in our van seemed like they had been forced onto the tour against their will. (You know the type—on vacation in paradise but somehow still grumpy about it.) Their mood tried to sneak into the van, but we refused to let it ruin our good time. Because of a small miscommunication, we missed the kava ceremony, but our guide more than made up for it by taking us to the blowholes at Mapu'a 'a Vaea Blowholes — and WOW. Totally worth it. Watching the ocean blast sky-high through the rocks felt like nature putting on a fireworks show. Despite a few gloomy travel companions and one missed stop, we had a GREAT time and came away with some unforgettable memories.
