From the center of Pangai, start by heading south on the main road, which is known as 'Tonga Road'. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with a smaller road leading east (left). Turn left onto this road and continue walking for another 1 kilometer. You will notice the landscape becoming more rural with beautiful views of the ocean. Keep an eye out for local signage. After 1 kilometer, you’ll arrive at a T-junction; turn right. Maka Fa'akinanga is located approximately 500 meters down this road on your left. Look for a small sign indicating the entrance.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, start from the center of Pangai and head south on 'Tonga Road'. Cycle for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the smaller road leading east (left). Turn left and continue for another 1 kilometer. The road is fairly flat and offers a pleasant ride with local scenery. When you reach the T-junction after 1 kilometer, turn right. Maka Fa'akinanga will be on your left side after approximately 500 meters. Ensure to watch for any local traffic and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

You can also consider using local transport options such as a taxi or a shared van. From the center of Pangai, ask the driver to take you to 'Maka Fa'akinanga' or to the nearby area of Niutoua. The drivers are usually familiar with tourist spots. The ride should take approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive, it’s a short walk to the entrance of Maka Fa'akinanga, which is easily visible from the road.
