Start from the center of Pangai, near the Pangai Market. Head south on Vuna Road, which runs parallel to the coast. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by several local shops and the Pangai Wharf. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing towards Mu'a. After about 20 minutes, you should reach the junction that leads to Mu'a. Turn left onto the road leading to Mu'a and continue for another 1 kilometer, where you will see signs for Paepae o Tele'a. The landmark is located on the right-hand side of the road, just off the main path. It's a short walk from the main road.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Pangai. Begin your ride from the center of Pangai, heading south on Vuna Road. Maintain a steady pace and enjoy the coastal views. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you'll come to the junction for Mu'a. Take a left turn here and cycle for another kilometer. You will find Paepae o Tele'a on your right-hand side. The entire journey should take about 15-20 minutes depending on your cycling speed.
Boat
For a unique experience, consider taking a local boat from Pangai to Mu'a. You can inquire about boat services at the Pangai Wharf. Once you arrive in Mu'a, you can either walk or hire a local guide to take you to Paepae o Tele'a. The landmark is located approximately 1 kilometer from the boat drop-off point. Follow the main road and look for directional signs. This option can be both scenic and enjoyable, allowing you to see the coastline of Tonga.
