Experience Three Pools

Getting There

  • Car

    From Asa Wright Nature Centre, exit the property and turn left onto the main road. Drive south for approximately 1.5 km until you reach the T-junction. At the junction, turn left onto the North Coast Road (also known as the Main Ridge Road). Continue for about 7 km. You will pass through the small village of Blanchisseuse. Look for the sign that indicates the entrance to Three Pools on your right. There is limited parking available near the entrance. Please note that there may be a small entrance fee for the park.

  • Public Transportation

    From Asa Wright Nature Centre, walk to the nearest bus stop on the North Coast Road. Catch a bus heading towards Blanchisseuse; make sure to confirm with the driver that they stop at Three Pools. The journey will take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the designated stop, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the entrance of Three Pools. Be prepared to pay the bus fare which typically ranges from TT$5 to TT$10.

  • Hiking/Walking

    For the more adventurous, you can hike to Three Pools from Asa Wright Nature Centre. This route will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Start by exiting the Centre and walking along the dirt path that leads towards the North Coast Road. Cross the road carefully and follow the trail that leads down towards the river. Keep an eye out for signs that will guide you to Three Pools. Ensure you wear sturdy shoes and carry water, as the hike can be steep and rugged in places.
