If you are driving from Buccoo Reef, head northeast on Buccoo Road towards Plymouth. Follow the road as it curves to the left and becomes Shelbourne Street. Continue straight on Shelbourne Street, and you will find Fort James at 66C9+5WH, on your left. There is usually ample parking available nearby, but it is wise to arrive early during peak tourist times.

To reach Fort James using public transport, you can take a taxi or a maxi taxi from Buccoo. Look for a maxi taxi heading towards Plymouth, which can be found near the Buccoo market. Inform the driver you wish to go to Fort James. The fare usually costs around TT$10-15 per person. The driver will drop you off at a convenient spot on Shelbourne Street, from where it’s just a short walk to Fort James.
