From any central location in Couva, walk to the nearest bus stop along the main road. Look for a bus heading towards Port of Spain. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you wish to go to Maracas Beach. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. You will need to get off at the Maracas Bay Village stop. From there, follow the signs to the beach, which is a short walk down the road.

Find a local taxi stand in Couva or signal a taxi on the road. Tell the driver you want to go to Maracas Beach. Depending on traffic, the ride will take about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey. The taxi will drop you off right at the beach entrance.

If you are feeling adventurous and are already in the northern part of Couva, you can opt to walk towards the main road where buses operate. This is not a common route for tourists, and it's recommended only if you are familiar with the area. From the main road, you can catch a bus heading towards Maracas Bay Village as described above.
