    From Mayaro, head west on the Mayaro Main Road (also known as the Southern Main Road). Continue driving for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Guayaguayare Road. Turn left onto Guayaguayare Road and continue for about 5 kilometers. You’ll reach a T-junction; turn right onto the Piparo Road. After about 3 kilometers, keep an eye out for the signs directing you toward Piparo Mud Volcano. Follow the signs until you reach the location at Piparo, which is marked by the coordinates 8MQ4+H43. There is no entry fee to access the volcano.

  • Public Transportation

    From any location in Mayaro, you can catch a maxi taxi or a bus heading towards San Fernando. Make sure to tell the driver you want to get off at the junction for Guayaguayare Road. The fare is usually around TT$10. Once you reach the junction, you’ll need to wait for another maxi taxi or a bus heading toward Piparo. Inform the driver that your destination is Piparo Mud Volcano. The second leg of the journey will cost about TT$5. Upon reaching Piparo, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the Mud Volcano, which is about a 10-minute walk from the main road.
